Palestine 1920: The Other Side of the Palestinian Story

This inspirational and engaging film shows the culture, industries, transport, international trade, education and prosperity in Palestine in the 1920s.

It is made with archive footage and photos and neatly transitions between historical images of people, buildings and other subjects and settings with the same locations in 2020. This process is done accurately and results in the footage from 2020 perfectly matching the films and photos from the 1920s.

It also shows the deceptive agreements by the British and French, the Balfour letter and subsequent mandate, the treacherous failure by the British and their underhanded, one sided behaviour resulting in Palestine, an established nation, being undermined and occupied by zionists in ways that have resulted in the Palestinian people having their country stolen and being made destitute on their own land.

This film was made by Ashraf Mashharawi in conjunction with Media Town for Al Jazeera.
